Journey.

Lately at home, everyone is always busy dealing with there own things like football practice, to school, to work. Finally, we found some time to get together and have a family outing to a Journey concert. 3 hours on road and a whole lot of sleeping in the car to get there.
It’s always fun going concerts of my parent’s choice. Nothing beats the old beats we like to beat our heads to(haha).

Besides getting together as a family, watching a huge dream come true for one particular person was amazing. Mr. Arnel Pineda rose to the top. His story of how he got there is just incredible. Found by Journey themselves, they scooped him up from the Philippines and tested his skills. He sounds just like Steve Perry, with his own twist of course. He went from homeless, kareoke nights to cross country tours. What a life…

Towelhead.

Going into the theater, I figured, from the previews and the title, that it would be about a girl that faces issues on adapting into a different culture, but I was wrong. Here’s the story, thanks to Yahoo!Movies…

Jasira, a 13-year-old Arab-American girl, navigates the confusing and frightening path of adolescence and her own sexual awakening. When Jasira’s mother sends her to Houston to live with her strict Lebanese father, she quickly learns that her new neighbors find her and her father a curiosity. Worse, her budding womanhood makes her traditional and hot-tempered father uncomfortable. Click here for the full story
Like most independent films, it was graphic and straight to the point. The film starts off with a disturbing image with Jasira’s, mom’s boyfriend insisting to shave her pubic hair. Straight off the first scene, I knew that this film wasn’t going to be the most heart warming piece of art to watch.
The film brought us into the eyes of a young American woman struggling to find herself and gets through tough situations from figuring out the opposite sex to feeling accepted. It brought tears in my eyes to see a film so raw, it really did hit home.

G1.

T-Mobile is finally jumping on a touch screen screen phone. I got hired from T-Mobile at the right time because now I can get the insight of new phones and maybe even get to play around with it before the rest of you phone loving people do.

What I do know and what I can tell you is that the G1 is about the same size as the iPhone, but in my opinion, the looks just don’t match. As the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover because although the iPhone looks innovative, the G1 is innovative on the inside. The biggest feature every tech savy person is excited about it the Android. Unlike the iPhone, with the G1 you can download any application you want. If you can think of it, you can get it. The iPhone comes with applications that have to go through Apple and the G1 can get anything you desire. A down side to the G1 is it does not hold corporate e-mails.
That just proves that we can’t get anything we want in life or in our phones.
By the way, if anyone is interested in starting an account with T-Mobile, let me know.
